How It's Made
The chocolate chip cookie is the cookie that started this whole thing — it's the first cookie I ever tried to bake and the one I've obsessed over the longest. These are the chocolate chip cookies I've been perfecting for five years: cold butter creamed just enough to leave that slightly uneven texture, heavier on the dark brown sugar for a deeper caramel flavor, and dough chilled overnight so they bake thick instead of spreading thin. Crispy edges, a gooey middle that still has a little pull to it, and semi-sweet chocolate chips in every bite. Baked the day before pickup so they're as fresh as it gets.
